Pre-trained models used in development are monitored as part of regular AI system monitoring and maintenance.
Framework controls become operational only when teams connect them to the AI systems, decisions, and evidence they govern.
A practical implementation:
- Confirm whether the control applies to each AI system
- Document the mapping and rationale
- Assign current evidence to the control
- Revisit the mapping when the AI system changes
The mapping should be reviewable and change-aware. When a provider, model, data source, or material system behavior changes, teams should be able to see which mapped controls deserve another look.
